Voyager Meisterwerk Project The culminating event for graduating Voyagers is a student designed and implemented year-long project, tailored to the student's individual strengths and learning needs. The Meisterwerk project is designed so that students will carry out focused inquiry on a question that is of particular interest to them. Students are expected to develop written and presentation skills to effectively share the knowledge they have gained. While the Meisterwerk project will be individualized, it will have in common the following components 1. clear choice of topic 2. selection of an adult mentor (not their own parent) 3. development of questions to be researched and answered 4. review research literature and conduct interviews 5. engage in substantial design effort for project 6. create written product appropriate to project 7. produce an interesting, working artifact. 8. present work using oral presentations and written reports |
